Bilt Dining guide: Earn more points per dollar spent at select restaurants

Since April 2023, Bilt Rewards members have been enjoying the benefits of earning extra points at select restaurants through the Bilt Dining program. Similar to other dining rewards programs, Bilt Dining offers bonus rewards when you use an enrolled card to pay at participating restaurants. Additionally, Bilt occasionally offers exclusive dining experiences and promotions to its members.

To maximize your earnings with Bilt Dining, it’s important to understand how it works. Bilt members can earn up to 10 points per dollar spent through Bilt Dining, depending on the points multiplier indicated in the Bilt app at the time of purchase. You can earn points on Bilt Dining purchases using any card linked to your Bilt Wallet, whether it’s the Bilt Mastercard or a Visa, Mastercard, or American Express card.

When you pay at any restaurant using your Bilt Mastercard, you automatically earn 3 points per dollar thanks to the bonus category on the card. On Bilt Rent Day, which occurs on the first of every month, you can double your earnings, earning 6 points per dollar spent on dining purchases made on Rent Day. However, to earn points in each billing cycle, you must use your card at least five times, with paying rent counting as one of the transactions.

Bilt Dining has expanded significantly since its launch and now has restaurants in cities such as Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, Nashville, New York, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Portland, Salt Lake City, San Antonio, San Diego, San Francisco, and Seattle. To find eligible Bilt Dining restaurants, you can check the “Dining” tab in the Bilt app, where you can browse through Bilt’s top picks or filter by location, cuisine, and price range.

It’s important to note that while there is no limit to the number of points you can earn through Bilt Dining, it may take up to seven days for bonus earnings to post to your Bilt Rewards account. Additionally, you won’t earn Bilt Dining bonus points if the transaction is made through a third-party marketplace or an online ordering platform.

To make the most of Bilt Dining, you can also utilize the Bilt Wallet feature. If you have a Bilt Mastercard, it will automatically show in the Bilt Wallet tab of your Bilt app. You can also link other payment methods to your Bilt Rewards account through this tab. Bilt is currently offering 100 points per linked card for the first three eligible cards added to the Bilt Wallet. This is a great opportunity to earn additional points across more categories.

In terms of exclusive dining experiences, Bilt occasionally includes Bilt Dining in its monthly Rent Day promotions. For example, in February, Bilt offered a Rent Day promotion for exclusive Valentine’s Day dinner reservations at select restaurants in Boston, New York, Miami, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Washington, D.C. Members could pay for their reservations with Bilt points or a card linked to their Bilt Wallet. Reservations were available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Overall, Bilt Rewards has a lot to offer its members, from the monthly Rent Day to exclusive dining experiences. Even if you don’t live in one of the cities currently served by Bilt Dining, it’s promising to see that Bilt is allowing members to add other cards to their Bilt Wallet, with plans to continue rolling out new ways to earn points across categories through the Bilt Wallet.
